Famous Actors Being Trafficked Into Pig Butchering

A famous Chinese actor in pursuit of a role in an international film ended up in a harrowing nightmare situation.

According to the SCMP, Chinese actor, Wang Xing who went missing near the Thailand-Myanmar border has confirmed he was a victim of human trafficking following his rescue from a scam compound.

The kidnapping and trafficking of models and actors may be a growing trend by Pig Butchering operators who are increasingly using good looking people to improve their catfishing of victims.

The Perfect Setup

The scheme began when Xing was promised a casting call for a movie in Thailand by an “associate director” of the film . To join the casting call he was told that he would meet the director but needed to travel to the Bangkok to audition.

After he arrived at the Bangkok airport, a group of people working for the film transported him to the location which was over 500 kilometers away.

He didn’t realize it, but when he got to the rendezvous point, he was actually in Myanmar and it was then that his nightmare began. People with guns showed up and forced him into a car.

“It was only when the armed people pushed me into the car that I realised that I might not be in Thailand, but another country,” he said. “There were about 50 people in the building that I was in. There were more in another building, and people came from different countries.”

A High Pressure Operation With 50 Others

In a video, Xing outlined his ordeal in the scam compound. He was put into a compound with 50 other trafficked victims and forced to learn how to type for three days.

“I can’t sleep. I can’t eat. And I didn’t even have the time to pee,” he said in the clip, describing his experience at the compound.

He Was Rescued, Ransom May Have Been Paid

According to another recent article, he was eventually rescued but a ransom of over $2 million RMB might have been paid to get him out of the compound.

The rescue team identified two locations where victims were being held, discovering ten Chinese nationals at the first site and fifty at the second, where Wang was ultimately freed.

Additionally, law enforcement successfully dismantled the company, with its Guangdong-based leader, known as “Golden Tiger,” being arrested alongside his associate, Jin Can, who was responsible for Wang’s abduction.

Good-Looking Actors and Models Are Going Missing

Pig Butchering operators appear to have their sites on trafficking good looking models to scam people.

The kidnapping of actors and models appears to be a growing trend, as another Chinese model Yang Zeqi who disappeared in December is suspected of being victimized by the same scheme.

In any eeirily similar case to Xing, Zeqi took a flight from Beijing Daxing International Airport to Suvarnabhumi Airport on December 20 after receiving a message via WeChat that he had passed an audition for a film shooting.

He is still missing, however in late December he did a video call with his mom. Zeqi was found wearing a black outfit and sitting on a chair with his hands on the table. He had an injury at the corner of his eye.

Zeqi is still missing and his phone has been turned off. His family is still looking for him.
